7 Items to Borrow for Your Wedding Day
75A lot of us take the time to prepare for our wedding days. We prepare emotionally, mentally, physically, and, above all, financially. However, even with preparation, sometimes we find that we need to borrow items in order to save time or money.
Borrowing items for your wedding day might seem awkward, but in reality it has already become common practice. After all, for a wedding, you need to have “something borrowed,” too.
There are various things you can borrow for your wedding. In fact, the things you can borrow for your wedding need not be “real things.” What is meant by the previous statement? Well, you will discover what I mean by learning about these seven items to borrow that I talk about below.
Bridal look
Earlier, I mentioned that the things you can borrow are not just “things”? This is one of them. Today, it has become popular to mimic bridal looks from celebrities. The hair style and palette used for make-up from your favorite actress, singer, or celebrity’s wedding, with a professionals’ help, can easily be acquired.
Yes, you can feel and look like the people you gain inspiration from just by cutting out detailed pictures and bringing them to your own stylists. Consequently, you will also gain their confidence and natural glow on your wedding day.
Bridal Style
Aside from your look, you can also borrow other people’s bridal style. Perhaps you want to have a jolly dance wedding like in a video you saw on YouTube. Maybe you are inspired by Ashlee Simpson’s “Alice in Wonderland” wedding theme. It is possible to borrow and use any theme or bridal style you find most interesting. It will not be plagiarism; there is nothing copyrighted on these weddings and most of the time you will alter the look a bit to fit your own style. Most people will be flattered that you were inspired by their styles and would like to use them in your own wedding.
Wedding Shoes
Wedding gowns and receptions can be very expensive leaving us with a shortage in our budget. In such a case, what will you do? While some people cut the reception or end up postponing the wedding itself, you can resolve it by simply borrowing items. One item you can easily borrow is your wedding shoes. A lot of bridal shoes are actually affordable, but when you are in a tight spot, it is best to simply borrow them from a friend or relative. This will help you save a few bucks that can be put towards other things.
Wedding Veil
While some brides take this simple thing out of the picture, if you are one of the traditional ladies, then this is something you can simply borrow. Your mom, sister, or a friend can easily lend theirs to you. It is best, though, when borrowing from someone to make sure that the person is leading a happily married life, imparting you with her good fortune.
Jewelry
The easiest and probably most common thing to borrow on wedding days is jewelry. This includes the tiara, necklace, earrings, rings, and bracelets—small things that provide a nice focus on different body parts. The great thing about borrowing jewelry is that you can easily get something old and something blue from them, too. You can be killing three birds with one stone by saving money and getting the things you need.
Handkerchief
Perhaps you are thinking: Well, how do I carry a handkerchief with me? There are several ways to bring a handkerchief borrowed from someone close. You can tie it around your bouquet, tie it elegantly on your wrist, or, if you simply just want to bring it, tuck it securely in your undergarment.
Car
We have been discussing small things to borrow in the earlier example. Now, with this one, we are going on to the big things you will need. If you are having a church wedding or even a garden wedding where you will need to move from one place to another, you will need a wedding car. While you can easily use one you have at home and simply secure a bundle of flowers on the bumper, if you want to go traditional, then it is best to borrow a car. A white car from a close friend or relative is going to be just right.
Superstitious or not, borrowing things on your wedding day can help you look your best without spending more money. If you are currently having a panic, clueless of what “something borrowed” to bring on your wedding day, then it is best to give any of these above examples a try!

Most of the things we spend so much money on, we never get to use again anyway. So why not borrow.

Hi, I agree, this day and age we don't have to spend pounds on a wedding, with a bit of planning and borrowing it can certainly cut the price in half, cheers nell
